What's that littluns? Is that the pitter-pattering sound of a drabble? It sure is.

Title: Bob the Builder
Author: Sam, bad_luck
Rating: G
Pairing: Suggested Bobby/John, blatant Bobby/Marie, implied Bobby/Kitty; aka, Bobby's a whore and we all know it
Summary: On a more serious note, Bobby has a problem. Bobby likes to fix things.

Bobby has a complex. Bobby likes to fix things. Whether it be a broken piece of furniture, an unorganized desk, playing doctor, or even just being there for a friend, Bobby loves to make things right. While this shouldn't seem like a problem, Bobby also has a penchant for getting bored with the things he has put together. For instance, in the third grade, he built a model airplane. Everyone in class was impressed and even the teacher praised his craftsmanship, but Bobby paid no attention to their compliments and instead busied himself by trying to staple together the hole he'd gotten in his shirt during recess.

Such a habit became part of who he was. Even after discovering his mutation, Bobby found new and inventive ways to make the world a better place, even around the house (though he would never tell his parents just why the house was always so cool during those hot New England summers). Eventually, his hobby grew boring and upon moving into the mansion, Bobby soon found that with Xavier already playing hero, there was little for him to do. Such pristine and peaceful living conditions began to make Bobby grow listless and unsettled. But just when it seemed that all hope had been lost, Bobby found his newest project: John Allerdyce.

John wasn't like the other boys in the Xavier Institute. John was jaded and bitter, rebellious in all the ways that got under the skin of women like Ororo Munroe and even made composed men such as Scott Summers lose their cool. Bobby became fascinated by this boy who could wield flames and command them to do his bidding; who sparked a new sort of life inside the Iceman that made his insides melt. It took nearly three years for Bobby to make a breakthrough with John, but the final product was a boy who no longer started fights in the hallways or made lewd gestures out of fire during class. John Allerdyce was civil, tamed in a way. However, the risidual flare of defiance still burned and the arrogance bubbled beneath a calm exterior. After all, one cannot separate Pyro from his fire.

John Allerdyce was Bobby Drake's biggest challenge and he had loved every minute spent with the complicated boy.

That is until a newer, more complex problem came along. This problem went by the name of Marie.

Marie was broken in all the ways that John hadn't been; scarred by memories that were not her own and afraid of even being touched for the consequences of such were far too jarring for her to risk. Bobby fell immediately in love. In love, of course, with the idea of fixing this tragic, but beautiful problem.

And so Bobby opened her up. He got her to share her feelings of insecurity, something he'd never gotten out of John, and soon she was playing foosball in the rec room, sharing lunch with Bobby who quickly adopted the title of her boyfriend. Marie was growing into the spitting image of what a model young lady should be. Not even the white streak in her hair or the gloves that she constantly wore could hide the fact that she had blossomed into a normal teenager; and that was saying a lot for a student at the Xavier Institute.

But then, just like all the projects before Marie, Bobby began to grow tired of holding hands, like normal couples might or the carefree touches at his shoulder. Marie was no longer something to be fascinated by, instead she developed into a routine of sorts, something he could schedule into his day. Wake up, shower and dress, meet Marie for breakfast, go to class, meet Marie for lunch, tell Marie how pretty she is, perform the ritual afternoon kiss and try not to be killed in the process. Everything simply became boring. Everything became. . .well, simple.

And just like he had ditched John, Bobby would ditch Marie. It was only a matter of time before someone else came along. However, weeks began to pass and still no challengers presented themselves. Dr. Grey had passed away, John had vanished with the Brotherhood, and things at the mansion grew quieter than usual.

But today's the day that changes all of that because today is the day that Kitty Pryde comes knocking on Bobby's door in tears. She wants him to comfort her and make her problems go away. And Bobby the Builder would do just that because here's a brand new problem that needs fixing.

    <lj:music>Light My Candle - RENT</lj:music>

Last night Minh and I went and saw the opening of Brokeback Mountain. We drove all the way to LA so we could watch it at The Grove which was the only theatre playing it remotely close to us.

The movie was pretty good. Most of everything was right from the book except for the ending where they added a bit more of Ennis into it.

All in all, it was worth the drive down and the $10.75 to see it. However, the book was definitely better and I was the slightest bit disappointed that I didn't cry at the end like I had when reading the novel.

Many thanks to Jan. <3 I wouldn't have such a profound love for Brokeback Mountain if it weren't for you.

x_x And on a side note. We perform Twelfth Night tonight. I've gotten only 3 1/2 hours of sleep. Lol. Yay for me. But again, Brokeback Mountain was worth it.

Gerard Way smells like cigarettes and leather

Omg. Okay so the MCR concert was tonight. It was so fucking awesome. Aside from being elbowed in the face and squished up against people half of the time, the concert was fabulous. MCR put on a great show. Not to mention, Mikey and Gerard exchanged several looks throughout the performance that made my slash alert go off. Hee, Mikey ruffled Gee's hair. It was so~ cute!

Anyhoo, the real treat happened before the show. Minh was kind enough to hold our spots in line while Ashley and I hung out around the tour buses. There were only about ten or so other people back there with us. At around 2:30, Gerard comes out in like. . .layers of black clothing and it's like 85 degrees out. He must have been baking, especially since he was wearing a leather jacket. But hey, he's a rockstar, he can do that. So he signs a bunch of autographs, makes small talk and then I notice that he's got something written on his neck in what looks to be partially rubbed off permanent marker. So I ask him what it says and he laughs and gets kinda quiet, murmuring: "Oh, it says cunt. . ." And my poor little censory alarm is going off like: "X_x;; aah. 'c' word." But it's Gerard so it's okay.

When we walked back to Minh, we told him our story and then Ashley and I were like: "Omg, but who wrote it on Gerard?!" The handwriting looked too neat to have been done by himself and the letters were done nice enough to where he must have been willing or asleep for it to have been written. So we scowl at ourselves for not asking who did it, but move on because hey. . .we've got four more hours before the concert. BUT GUESS WHAT?! Frank and Ray are out back signing autographs! Ashley's got this fabulous intuition where whenever she thought someone would be out, they were. Not to mention, it was never packed so it made it all the more awesome. So we got pics and stuff of them but then. . . OH. EM. GEE. It's Mikey Way! And he is just the scrawniest little thing I ever laid my eyes on. I wanted to feed the boy. But I settled for getting his autograph on my pants next to Gerard's. Ashley though, won me over. She asked Mikey who wrote "cunt" on Gerard's neck and Mikey blushed and got really quiet before murmuring "oh. . .I think he did it himself". Yet when we compared their writing, we noticed that Mikey's writing looked hella close to the writing on Gerard's neck. Omg, buttsekz? I like to think so.

Anyhoo. So, I got my Waycest in small doses and their autographs so Sammy's a happy camper. :D And because I'm just so ecstatic, you guys get pictures!! Okay. . .only two. But still! Enjoy!

My favorite pair of jeans now boasting my new favorite pairing. I'm still in utter awe over the entire production of the film. Everything ran so smoothly and the character animation flowed beautifully. Other than the prettiness and the fantastic voice acting. . .There wasn't much else to the movie. It kind of lacked in a definite plot and was mostly battle scenes, but even still. . . So yummy. And it only took about four or five hours to DL. w00t for BitTorrent.

There were cosplay opportunities all over the place though. And I really loved Yuffie in this. She's so adorable! Made me wanna throw t'gether her outfit just so I could run around all spazzy. "Discrimination, discrimination~~~~!!!" <3

Hee. But yeah. I loved Rufus in this too. He was still pretty!!! Geostigma or not, that boy was fi~ne.

. . .Yeah. Hm. That's really all I can say. Sephiroth owned as usual. But everyone knows that. If there's a Sephiroth, there's happiness.

Again, thank you to Ana who raved about it in her LJ! Now I'm off to DL FF7: Last Order. You rock, girlie!

So, the opening of the Wiz was tonight.

I was actually surprised. It wasn't half bad. I was proud o' our actors. They were really good, performed amazingly.

It was also the first Vista Del Lago production I was not apart of.

Sitting in the audience was an odd sensation, watching and not performing. Strange, but I'm mildly indifferent to it now. There's a small twinge of me that wishes I had done it, but then again, no.

After all. If they already had a replacement ready, they obviously couldn't have wanted me in it that badly right? Anyhow. The play came along a lot better without me, I'm sure.

On a lighter note, I've discovered how much I truly enjoy driving on my own. It's so nice and relaxing to not have a destination. . .to just drive with soft music in the background and plenty on your mind. I wish I was always that peaceful. It gave me some time to think things through and I think I know what I want now. I'll think more on things later when I'm driving some more, so. . .

Gah. I need to get my first season of Will & Grace off of Minh. That show's so damn cute.
